Coffee is wonderful.

Right now I am sitting at my new desk, under my new bed, watching a movie, and drinking coffee from my Peter Pan mug, in my new apartment.
Life. Is. Good.
Finally got all moved in. All the boxes and bags are unpacked and my clothes and my junk are all in their respective places in my cube (aka my room). Disney themed of course. All I think that's left is to put up my Princess and the Frog and Toy Story 3 movie posters.
I am so excited to start this new adventure!

All my bags are packed..well..almost...

Almost...done...finish line...is in view.
Whew. Whirlwind.
Got most of my stuff moved to school last week Monday. (Shoutout to the parents for all the help!) BIG RELIEF, plus, my room is baller status!
Last Wednesday had the wisdom teeth extracted. Pain has been a daily occurrence ever since.
Working again this Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. Then Wednesday it's the permanent move to school, YAHOO!

3 Boxes and 5 Rubbermaid Tubs

I. Hate. Packing.
I hate packing for trips. Most people love it because it means they are going somewhere on a vacation or someplace fun. Well I pack almost every other weekend going to visit my boyfriend, so the "fun" aspect has been sucked out of that packing experience.
I hated packing to move to Florida. It was scary and I didn't know what to bring. There goes that.
Now I am packing to move to school. Ugh. I am going to be living with 3 other girls (not an issue surprisingly), but I have no idea what is already in the apartment or what everyone else is bringing basically when it comes to dishes and such. So my solution is to move my stuff in over a week before anyone else to make sure my ridiculous collection of Disney dishes gets a place in the cupboards.
I am also a self-proclaimed "procrastinator packer". I like to leave things until the night before and then stay up all night to make sure everything got put into it's respective bag/box/suitcase. So I thought I would get ahead of the game and stop work two weeks before I move so I don't have to rush my life into boxes. This was a bad idea, however, because now I feel I am taking far too much stuff. Bleck. At least home is only an hour and a half away from school, so I can basically transport whatever, whenever. Convenient, especially when I feel like mom's cooking...yummy. I just cannot wait to put all of it in the truck and move it into the apartment.
Successes for the day:
-All my picture frames now have updated pictures from the last 6 months in them. Score.
-I went through my t-shirts (almost all 80 of them) and picked out a very minimal amount of them to take to school, along with sweatpants, pj pants, sweatshirts and long-sleeve t-shirts and jeans. Oh, and athletic shorts. One rubbermaid tub down.
-I took down my Disney art (tear, because now my one wall is naked) and boxed up the things I am using for living room decor.
List of things to do still:
-Pack up sheets, blankets, etc.
-Bathroom stuff.
-Storage drawer with tank tops and nice t-shirts.
-Hanging clothes.
Most of that will be the week after, on the 18th, when I move up there for good.
A trip to Bed, Bath, and Beyond is also needed (Thursday).
Ugh. Thank goodness TLC has had a 19 Kids and Counting marathon on today...

Day of Presents

I definitely had the best job ever this year. I worked with the most amazing kids (who I already miss seeing come Monday). I worked with the most amazing ladies on the planet. I got to play everyday. Awesome! The ladies I worked with were so phenomenal to me. I got presents! So excited! I got a lovely new coffee mug (which is wonderful considering I need it to get through a day...speaking of, I am lacking at the moment) from Marlene. Sherri and her husband gave me a Spartan teddy bear, a magnet for my new apartment and a new candle (Fruit Salad from Yankee candle is to die for). Sara gave me a teddy bear (hmm, theme?) dressed like Buzz Lightyear! I almost died when I pulled it out of the bag. I also got a delicious cake, and the kids made me all sorts of glittery cards to hang in my new room. I am going to miss that place.

I also have the most amazing boyfriend, ever. Yup, I do. I love all things photography and was Etsy-ing one day (don't know Etsy? Go there, now) and found this awesome old-school Kodak brownie for 20 bucks. I showed him and said "I want this" because that's what we do on Facebook. That weekend he tells me "Your camera got sold". I was bummed, I knew I should have bought it when I had the chance. I let it go, and moved on. Thursday he tells me he got me a present, which isn't out of the ordinary for him. Of course, I am ansty and can't wait to receive it. I get to his house and he gives me a box. I open it and lo and behold, the boy bought me the Kodak Brownie I had drooled over.

I love him. =)

Big whoops.

My eyebrows grow like weeds. Tweezing them does no good, and going to the salon terrifies me after they got basically removed earlier this year.
Plan B: wax them myself. So my friend brings over her wax and we decide to pamper ourselves. Awesome right? Not.
Plan B...didn't work out too well.
Took off a good chunk of my right eyebrow. Whoops. So I then had to take off a decent portion of the left one to make it look semi-even. Oh well. The way my eyebrows grow they will be back to normal within 2 weeks, tops.
It could be worse: I could have taken the whole thing off.
At least I don't need my picture taken this weekend.

It all started with a mouse. Or a post on a blog.

I love hobbies. Unfortunately, I don't also stick to them. I go through phases: one week I am really crafty and make lots of cute knick knacks for my living space, the next I am on a fitness kick where I run and stretch and attempt to get myself back to the shape I was in 5 years ago (fail, by the way). Currently, it's blogging. We'll see how long this lasts.

I guess the 1st thing I should have started with would have been an introduction of sorts about myself.
I am a 21 year old college student who aspires to live in Disney World.
*sigh* I wish it was more exciting than that, but I could go on and on about myself and why spoil all the fun in my first posting? This blog is just a place for me to talk, since I love to talk (oh, surprise fact #2!) and tell my stories and adventures and ideas and just thoughts in general from day-to-day life.

I work at a daycare (until Friday that is) and I have recently realized how sad I am truly going to be to leave all of my kids behind. I can visit them, sure, but I have watched these kids grow and develop and learn over the past year and I would be lying if I said that behind all of the grumbling and complaining about my job the past 11 months there wasn't an abundance of love for those kids. One of the little girls stole my heart from Day 1 and I had to take her and her sister home tonight. I was pretty sure I knew how to get to their house, but I wasn't 100% positive. Lucky for me, big sis is 7 (8 on Sunday) and knows how to get home from the daycare. While on the way home, I asked her if she was going to help me. She said yes. Then little sis piped in and said, "Yeah Miss Mollie, it's easy. We live right next door to our neighbors."
Naturally, I knew just where that was.
And now I sit here immersed in sadness over the loss of little stories like these and all the hugs and kisses and pictures I receive weekly come Friday at 6 p.m.. All to move away to go to school. *grumble* However, I know I did my best at my job, and hope that the kids miss me enough to give me warm welcomes when I return to say hi and play. But I must move on and get an education, which is what I told them today. I was then confronted with the question, "What's an education?" How do you describe an education to a 4 1/2 year old boy?

"The act or process of imparting or acquiring general
knowledge, developing the powers of reasoning andjudgment,
and generally of preparing oneself or others intellectually for mature life."
Or...
"You go to school for your whole life and then you have to pay lots and lots of money to learn more stuff that you are never going to apply to your everyday life."
So I just stuck with, "An education is what you get when you go to school and learn."
The response? "Wow."
Wow is right.
